Amanda Plouman

Hi, I am Amanda Plouman

My JPC journey has only just begun. Coming from an early years and primary education background I wanted to make a career change and work with adults. What a great decision I made!

The team and trainees have welcomed me with warm and open arms! I couldn’t be happier.

My role is as a teacher and no two days are the same. Our vibrant trainees are keen to learn the skills that help them to live as independently as possible and the independence award program that we deliver, certainly enables that. I am often kept on my toes during our enrichment activities and usually end up covered in flour or splattered in cream!

What else can I say about JPC Community Farm…Well it is based in the most beautiful, serene setting that provides a calming and relaxing environment for both the trainees and the staff alike.

What else am I about?  a fun fact is I seem to seek out disaster! I have survived 2 hurricanes, several earthquakes and rolling a dumper truck! while “enjoying” living abroad.

Seriously though I do believe I have the right caring qualities to continue making a difference in our trainees lives, after all I am also a wife, mother and grandmother.
