" I will continue to focus on us being the very best in whatever we achieve at the farm."

Paul Connaughton

In June 2000 I received the worst possible news that my new born son was severely brain damaged and would need 24/7 care for the rest of his life. You can only imagine the impact it had on my wife Julie and our 7 year old daughter Abbi’s life.
This was the start of making me into the man I am today. I decided I wanted to dedicate my life to those less fortunate and so our journey to create JPC Community Farm was born.

I’ve now achieved nearly 22 years lived experience as a Special Needs father and also over 5 years as the original founder and Chair of Trustees for the Charity, but most recently as Chief Executive Officer.

I’m also the sole Director of JPC Specialist Motorsports a wholly owned subsidiary of the charity which continues to grow and support the charity with financial support.

Having helped secure £3 million pounds financial investment from SLIL (Supported Living Infrastructure Limited) and BEST (Bespoke Supported Tenancies) to purchase and convert the 23.5 acre Farmhouse in Busby, Stokesley, North Yorkshire into 11 independent supported Living Apartments and 8 Short Break and Day Care apartments. Plus our truly amazing and life changing Training for Independence Hub.

I will continue to focus on us being the very best in whatever we achieve at the farm.
